Hi, Anna, Bo here, nice to see that posterI did still up on your site. I had no idea. There’s a framed copy on the wall immediately behind me as I type this! I stumbled upom it on Amazon looking for the sisters 3 cd comp and here’s what I posted on facebook today …
Print depicting part of a silkscreened hand cut stencil poster for their gig in 1982 at The Albany Empire inspired by a small image of the duo featured at the top of the front cover of Kate and Anna Mcgarrigle’s fifth album. “Love Over And Over”,with a simple night time feel background added for the poster by me to give it more body and to denote a wintry sky effect with blue stop out applied directly to the screen punctuating some stars.
Kate and Anna McGarrigle loved it and when I arrived at the gig I was immediately summoned to their dressing room where I was asked by the sisters to autograph two copies! They, in turn, signed a couple for me. Chuffed isn’t the word.
Her copy still hangs in Anna’s house, apparently, and the image is now being used today by Amazon as the cover to their digital download of the album which is where I stumbled upon it.Always loved those hats. And it was a great gig!
