Make that two of us with the blues. It’s 3:29 A.M. as I write this, blues no less diminished but this sweet kate gives hope.

it’s beautiful… i am in montreal for the first time from Bristol (UK) and was in the botannical gardens today marvelling at the peonies and iris and with your songs on my i-pod thinking of your sisters passing. sending good thoughts your way. david
Dear Anna,
Missing your sweet harmonies.
All best,
I just learned (Aug 2010) with great sadness of the repose of Kate McGarrigle. I was introduced by a good friend to the music of the McGarrigle sisters in 1976 when I got out of the U.S. Navy. I have always been a fan of folk music of all sorts, but the wonderful music of Kate and Anna was almost unbelievably beautiful to me. I had over the years lost track of the sister’s goings and comings to my great regret. May Kate M. rest in peace.
