Just found this very lovely video of Martha gearing up for her Piaf shows in NYC including snippets of her live performance, rehearsals with Mama, Brad & gang and Garth Hudson. Made by Syl and Lil.

I am so sorry to hear about Kate’s demise but know she will be curious about what is after death.. I love the music and have followed it for 30 or 40 years??? It is our Canadian group of wonderful people making music..your family, incliuding Rufus and Martha, Leonard Cohen etc. and I do not want it to end EVER but that is not realistic.. Except my condelensces and we love you

    Greetings
My sincerest condolances to all the family. I recall many , many years ago a flatmate introducing me to “Dancer with Bruised Knees”, and thus began my life-long devotion to the lovely sisters(and family! Loved seeing Martha perform in auckland)
i gave my darling sister and best friend a taped copy of “Dancer” on which I had written (badly)the title and performers names. It took my sister quite some time to accept the names were not in fact, Kack and Ama McGargle!!! She also became a fan, and we shared with joy your music – so reminiscent of Mum and family listening to mCgarrigle hour!
Sadly, Naomi my sister, also born 1946, fell from a balcony last January(2009) whilst cleaning a window, and never regained consciousness. Of course, she left us to the music of Dancer with Bruised knees. Stiil miss my best friend and companion like hell, so empathise hugely with you all. Warmest. Moira
