Very sad news about our old friend and musical colleague of many years. Jack was a founding member of the Mountain City Four (MC4) along with Peter Weldon and Kate and Anna McGarrigle.

Jack was a musician, a storyteller, and my very good friend. He brought much beauty into this world and I will miss him.

Hi to Anna. I was friends with you & Kate (RIP) when I was at McGill 64-66. Have followed wonderful musical creativity of you & extended family & look back fondly & now sadly too. Regret I didn’t have time to get to know you & Kate better. Also, wondering what type of (I guess ‘Cajun’?) Accordian did you & Kate play?
Best wishes & warm regards, fond memories & admire your & Fam’s musical creativity.
