Hello, Anna! As I sit here in Upstate NY (Owego, near Ithaca, to be exact) viewing your Website, I reckon back to evenings during the late ’70s/early ’80s spent at a little bar called Gringo’s on Crescent St. in Mtl, where I sang with the most talented and entertaining musician, Ken Pearson, aka Chubby Kaye. You and Dane, Kate and some of your band members, would venture in on occasion to say hello to Ken, and “visit for a spell.” Our mutual friend – and fellow reprobate – Vince Griffin would sometimes wonder in after finishing up his gig at another watering hole down the block, no doubt answering to the call of our siren song. All in all, it was a magical time for me, albeit slightly amd oddly intimidating. Around this same time, I was invited to attend a McGarrigle Sisters concert at Club-Montreal on rue Ste-Catherine. I feel blessed – and saddened…thank you for your music, you darling angels of song!
